Initiation of National Honor Society The Umpqua Valley League sponsored the third annual National Honor Society Initiation Wednesday, February 26, 1958, at the Riddle High School. Thirteen out of a total of 80 students were initiates from our school. Myrtle Creek High School ranks high with other schools of the county, having a total of 25 in this honor group. Bessie Patt and Bill Calhoun had major parts representing Character and Service , in the ceremony. Bob Paine and Kathy Sanders acted as emblem pinners for the candidates from Myrtle Creek. The purpose of the Society is to stimulate fly high scholarship Q2j constructive leadership f3j purpose of service and Q43 worthy character. We congratulate the initiates and the entire society for bringing scholastic achievement to themselves and their school. 84
