Junior Class Play LEFT T0 RIGHT: Oren Gaskill, Billie Brown, Judy Brown, Linda Kinnaman, Dick Lowell, Mavis Grimm, Sheila Shirtcliff, Bill Calhoun, Peggy Hubbard, Glen Bell, Dudley Klimback, Wes Davidson, Jim Bryant and Jay McVicker. , January Thaw is a delightful, valuable comedy about two completely different families, the Gages and the Rockwoods, who are forced by peculiar circumstances to live together in an old remodeled Connecticut farm house. The time is shortly after World War II, a period of housing and servant shortages. Mr. Gage, fBill C3lh0l1Il,, is a city dweller, a writer, a Democrat, Mr Rockwood, fDick Lowelly, .is a farmer, an oldtimer, a Republican. The families disagree on politics, religion, interior decoration, modern conveniences, and how to rear their children. The situation is further complicated when it is thought that the Gage girl and the Rockwood boy have eloped. The play begins in the autumn and ends in January, when a thaw has set in both weather-wise and character-wise. The two families have come a long way toward generosity and understanding. In addition to its very necessary moral lesson, the play has extremely witty dialogue. It was first performed in New York as a Michael Todd production and has since been given by numerous high schools and colleges. The cast is as follows: Herbert Gage. ....
