Senior Cluss Prophecies Dear Mrs. Whisenant: It is now 1968. Ten long years since the class of '58 graduated. After those years of success or failure, the following ias been revealed: Sharon Schager and Butch Gratz have gone into politics. Sharon investigates everything and Butch does something about it. Beverly Doggett, after so many years of hard driving, has become publicity manager for the Studebaker Motor Company. Gary Lee and Jackie Trees have settled down to the nice, quiet job of teaching. Pat Newman and Kathy Sanders, now nurses, have come to the conclusion that, 'a woman's doctor is her best friend . Gary Brown is owner and operator of the Lubrication Department of the Myrtle Creek Shell Garage. His main business is oiling fishing reels. Alvin Helgeson took over his dad's cattle ranch and is raising water buffalo . Atha Ireland, an important movie star, now believes Ireland was named after her. Ronald Bauer is now superintendent of the Douglas County School Board. Don Bishop has left all the hub-bub of the city and is now a sheepherder in Australia. Gary Hall has created a happy medium by combining the Liberace and Satchmo bands. Betty Blackert has just retired from the bench in Reno. The jury found her guilty of about 1000 traffic violations. Jan Guinn, after so many years of marriage, has just finished her first successful T. V. frozen dinner. Keith Ogborn, after going through so many transmissions, has developed one with rubber gears. Sharon O'Neall just received the greatest commission ever, modeling hip boots on the Riviera. Dick Naas has just completed his first movie of basketball, produced by the very late Mike Todd. Brad Goff is now playing Lil' Abner on the legitimate stage in New York. N Bernice Biss is editor of the Lonely Hearts Column of the Myrtle Leaf. Carol McDevitt, the new Betty Crocker , is now teaching the latest cooking methods to the faculty members. Doug Dyer has just bought his twenty-fifth logging truck and is driving all of them himself. QRemote controll Jessie Smith has finally attained his life long ambition, marooned on an island with a mermaid. Bob Shafer has completed his own home library, thanks to Miss Gore. Keith Ulam and Mike Walker have just returned from the Navy after ten years of N. R. O. T. C. April Winter, after a long, hard struggle, has replaced Mrs. Whisenant as Dean of Girls. Marilyn Wyatt created the most did away sack and brought back the Hour Glass . Tom King and Kelly Norton have walked their way up through the ranks of A. F. L. and jointly share the honors of presiding over the loyal meetings as Sergeants-at-Arms. Juanita Stimson is the first successful lady of the Royal Mounted Escort of Queen Elizabeth. Nyettia Diunont is now publishing the home edition of the popular booklet, Cooking . Oda Griffith, being on the Queen for a Day program, has received as her wish, that the penguins at Portland be taken back to Siberia . Bessie Patt, along with Carol Jones and Gail Harkey, has created the new band sensation, the Tri and Listen , as their first album. In Africa, Carrol Buley is seeking a specimen of a short Mau-mau . He is going to enter him in the Olympics as a wrestler. Eddie Cearley is now in New York trying for.the Charles Atlas Award. I, Ann Howard, will my'long naturally curly hair to Anna Blackert, knowing she would enjoy cutting it. I, Beverley Churney, will my books, locker, and ability to climb the stairs to school every day to Gerry Rhodes, in hopes she'll carry them well. I, Bernice Biss, being sound in mind and body, will my place in shorthand, to anyone who can fill it. I, Jan Guinn, hereby bequeath my sideburns to Jim White and my ability to stick my foot in my mouth at the wrong time to Lee Winetrout. I, Gary Hall, will my ability to play the cornet to Mickey Felkel, knowing he will need it in the next three years. I, Carol McDevitt, will my ability to go elk hunting, but get a deer , to anyone who can put it to as good an advantage as Ihave. They are the World s Champion Tag- Team Wrestlers. Remember those pretty curls of Clinton Dyer? He is now a stand-in for Yul Brynner. Lela Bloomfeldt is the proprietor of a quaint little tea shop in downtown Reno. Nancy Brown has recently been named the World's Greatest Big Game Hunter . Beverley Churney is the most famous high jumper in the Women's Olympics. Patsy Jack is now the richest person in New Mexico, after being in the cactus business fOr five years. Betty Moan has struck oil on her famous South Myrtle farm. Ruby Jannsen is now the World's Fastest Pea. Sheller, having defeated Russia's entry. Wanda Hadley has been married to Duane for the past ten years. She now has complete control over Kusler's Market. Byron Auer was recently named the best actor of the year. His portrayal opposite Jayne Mans- field in Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter? has spoiled him. Jeanine Murray is now President of the Dairy Queen Co-operations. Joan Deen and family have moved to Riddle, where husband Pat is manager of the Nickel Mine. Shirley Pachmayr is living in California and continuing her career as a housewife. Jim McCar1ey no longer hides his girl friends in closets, since they now have learned to get out of them. Bob Lincecum just received a promotion to Rear Admiral in the Navy. Joy Richards is a famous model. She models black hair dye. Ann Hayter and husband Tom are in Europe selling Fords. Larry Doud is vice-president of the Tri-City Redy Mix, where his employees work only half a day. Arletta Wilfong has just come back from her tour of Europe and is planning South America as her next victim. Ann Howard is editor of New York Times and does nursing on the side. Linda Richardson has moved from Boomer Hill to Mt. Hood, Where she uses skis to get where she wants to go. I Well, that's all the new I could dig up about the C1ass of 58 , so don't worry too much about them. Looks as if they're doing just fine, but I hope you are doing much better.
