Coach Nicholson's inspired oggresion defeated sectional opponents one ofter another. The stage was soon set for the completion of their goal os they odvanced to the finals in Winron Pork, Rochester. It was not to be. The team couldn't bug o break, leaving 17 girls on base. Not being able to cosh in. they fell to LeRoy 10-7. The Varsity Chorus has the heaviest concert schedule of oil the choral groups. In addition to the Christmas ond Spring concerts, the Varsity Chorus performs or Open House, and combines with the Junior High Chorus ond the Waterloo High School choruses for o concert in April. In Moy, the choruses will take port in the on-nuol state adjudication festival. Senior soprano Kathy Bleiler was honored with selection to the 1985 Zone 2 Area All-Store High School Chorus. Sixty-three singers strong, the Junior High Chorus is o training ground for the older singing groups. Spring arrived early as the Music Deportment began the annual musicol production under the direction of Mr. Douglas Avery. On a cold Saturday morning in February, musical participants began their grueling fifteen hour dance marathon to raise rhe money needed for costumes. Finally, all their efforts paid off in March, as rhe high seas come alive when ' Anything Goes was presented to rhe public. It was a show thor wos equally enjoyed by the cost, crew and audience. In rhe spring. Mynderse students traveled throughout rhe Northeast. The Model UN Club journeyed to Washington and rhe Dig Appleโ€ with their fearless leader. Mr. Walter Gable, to solve the world's problems. The International club visited Quebec, Conoda under the direction of Mr. K.-Dowser and Miss Waldron. The trip wos described as โ€œrres bie'n. In May. the Jozz Rock Ensemble traveled to NYC and Doston to participate in rhe Dosron Heritage Music Festival. The ensemble wos presented with rhe highest honor at the competition, the Gold Award. This Foil, students returned to o โ€™new Mynderse. Over the Summer the removol of the asbestos ceilings changed the interior. New ceilings ond fresh point adorned the school's hallways. Mynderse nor only hod its interior refurbished, bur the doily schedule wos also changed. Instead of nine forty-two minute periods, we were faced with ten periods of only forty minutes each. ROnce again, the M.A. girls soccer ream gave Seneco Foils a ploce on the mop. After winning their division, the girls continued on to win the rifles of Section V Class A champions ond Class C State Finalists. The girls mode us all very proud. The football ream did foirly well this yeor with o 4 and 4 record and o crucial win over the Waterloo Indians. Homecoming weekend wos o great success.
