01 CLASS PROUDLY PRESENTS BestOuto 100 In a small, bright room where pictures seem to talk and chalk seems to fly, there sits a man, not a man amused by the school’s daily routine, but a somber man, dedicated to his teaching. His room is not an ordinary room. It is complete, like a five-and-dime store with all its straight lines, brackets, and parentheses for sale. We’re really glad that he’s not in the English department, because he doesn’t know the order of his alphabet, and he is constantly getting his mix all talked up.” To sum up our dedicatee, we characterize him by his so-called humorous jokes,” his chalky suit coat, and his fantastic shooting ability (namely the chalk-in-the-basket shot). The Senior class of 1974 proudly dedicates the ’73-’74 Myndersian to Mr. Jon Smith. a) Scan Buck, Supt. Bldgs, and Grounds, Albert Plouffc. Each day we face new challenges that must be met so that we may come one step nearer to discovering the true meaning of our individual purposes. Our class is one of great potential in scholastic achievement and participation in all forms of activity, but, most importantly, it abounds in genuine friendship for one another. If friendship measures man’s worth, we all are wealthy, indeed. One such event is the graduation of another class from Myndersc Academy. This will be a very special event as we shall be the one-hundredth class to graduate from our school. The fact that we are the one-hundredth graduating class of Mynderse Academy is in itself a very significant part of the school’s history. This docs not mark our class as a great one. In order to be a great one, to be the best out of a hundred, we must in our final year of high school strive to fulfill our potentials. For three years we have worked together and achieved the goals we have set. This last year, more than ever, we have to work together and achieve the goals set before us. If we do this, we truly shall become the Best Out of One-Hundred.” David Liberatore Senior Class President CLASS ADVISORS — a) Miss Becker b) Miss Besser SENIOR OFFICERS — Bottom Row — S. Bronze Division 25 Chestnut Street Seneca Falls, New York 13148 FIRST NATIONAL BANK OF WATERLOO Riverview Plaza Office Seneca Falls, New York 13148 Should You Go to Goulds After School? Since 1874, time of the above engraving, more young men in Seneca Falls probably graduated to Goulds than graduated from high school. Fortunately, for both education and Goulds, things have changed. Both have grown enormously. Today the opportunities for education, both high school and college, are greater than ever before. The demands on the students, however, are growing more intense. There is more competition. Same with pump companies. Some keep growing, others are drop-outs. Back in 1874, for example, there were four other pump companies in Seneca Falls. They're all long gone. We have some competitors, today, who are on shaky ground. They haven't done their homework, i.e., no new products, new approaches to markets, etc. Success in schooling, success in pump manufacturing; both are the product of determined, skilled, enlightened people. We have them at Goulds Pumps, Inc., and we're proud that a great number of our key people are Mynderse graduates. Many are those who have gone on to college and then returned to Seneca Falls and to Goulds. These illustrations show the change in Goulds plant facilites in the past 93 years. 8ut Goulds is moving faster than that. In the past 10 years sales have more than doubled. To keep growing we need more good people to grow with. Consider Goulds as a good place to work after high school or college. 196 Devils Down Indians in Overtime Compliments of ROBINETTE'S Where you'll buy all your jewelry sets! George S.
