The Senior Class of 1964 dedicates this edition of the Myndersian to John Fitzgerald Kennedy, thirty-fifth president of the United States, who, on Friday, Novem- ber 22, 1963, acquiesced to his own inaugural impera- tive: . . . Ask not what your country can do for you-ask what you can do for your country.

he citizens of Seneca Falls have provided us with a well equipped building and dedicated teach- ers. Four years ago, we entered high school as Freshmen. As our four years have progressed, we have grown in our appreciation of our school, our teachers, and our education. Now, as Seniors, We realize that we have built up a treasury of memories which we will cherish. For these reasons, the edi- torial staff decided that Mynderse Academy-A Treasure Chest is an appropriate theme. Normally, the dedication is not connected with the editor's statement. However, during our senior year, we lived through one of the most tragic events in our nationis history. We came to realize that a free public school can not exist in an unfree society. Our treasure is only a small part of an even greater treasure, the United States of America. The Senior Class voted to set aside tradition and to dedicate this yearbook to the victim of that event. President Kennedy started as a 'cfreshmanw in the World's most powerful office at the time that we were Freshmen in high school. He had a profound faith in youth, and in turn, we felt as though our Presi- dent was our friend. ln dedicating this yearbook to President Kennedy, we dedicate it to the principles for which he stood. As we have strived to relate some of the aspects of the Kennedy Administration to the various sec- tions of the book, we have grown to realize that a full life is capable of many things. We have learned that because our treasure chest is embedded in free ground, everyone has an equal opportunity to make his life worthwhile to God and mankind. As our life progresses and we look back on our years at Mynderse Academy, we should keep in mind what a well known teacher once said: Where your treasure is, there will your hear! he also. TR GEDY LIGMENTS TREASURE

he school administration maps out the route for our treasure chest located in Seneca Falls, New York. If we as students follow these directions, we will find the Wealth the chest contains-the valuable experiences of school life-and have a chart for the future. We share with every presidential administration in the hope that that chart will lead an educated citizenry to a peaceful world.
