ARTHUR L BAKER AB BS MS Syracuse University So few boys and girls in high school realize until some years later that these four years were the happiest and most profitable days of their lives. lt, perhaps, would be better to say could have been rather than were because the happiness and profit you gained were in direct proportion to the zeal and enthusiasm with which you met each experience. How well have you studied, learned to get along with other people, met your re- sponsibilities, and participated in clean and wholesome activities? These are the things you will remember with satisfaction or regret. lf these four years have been wasted, you will never quite make them up. lf they have been used well, they will be a good foundation for a sat- isfying life. l sincerely hope that your memories of Mynderse will be strongly tinged with pride, respect and loyalty. Commencement, how thrilling, but do you realize that these past years have been the Best years of your lives? Mother, Dad, and friends have made things easy for you and have made a great many of your decisions. lt is now up to you. lf you have made good use of these past years, the future should be a happy one. Whether you begin your life's career now, or after further educational training, it is rny sincere hope that the foundation we have given you will enable you to be a better citizen of the United States, and the world. Congratulations to each member in the class. Each in your own way has been a real help to our school. We will miss you, but the world is waiting to see what you, and others graduating from high schools this June, are going to do toward making your surroundings a better and happier place in which to live.
