O'Brien Adviser Ruth Howland, Annette Bair Co-Editors The 1953 ll'IJ'Illf67'5fl!ll staff chose a colorful Scotch theme for their annual publication. They worked from fall through March preparing photo- graphs, candid snaps, and Writeups, with a bigger and better yearbook as a goal. Staff heads included Annette Bair and Ruth Howland, Co- Editors, Cameron Fraser, Business Manager, Margaret Martello, Head Typist, james Romeo, Photographic Editor, Claire Maier, Art Editor, Leon Bolich, Sports Editor. Invaluable assistance was given by Bullock Studios and Sutterby and Son. Appreciation also goes to Miss Trulan for her help to the Art Staff in carrying out the theme. A successful book could not be completed without the cooperation of the administration, faculty and students. Financial aid was given by all those who supported the magazine drive, the subscription drive and by those who advertised. To Miss O'Brien, our adviser, goes our special thanks for her much needed aid, instruction, and inexhaustible patience. 44

T STAFF Mynderse MirroplJo11e. bi-weekly pri tion, has added several new features this year to improve the paper. i .1 and ink sketch of the new school was added as a mast-head, while ty baby pictures, a feature of last year, were replaced by Mynderse in Profile and Noggins Anonymous. The staff expanded the public relations program by polling ex-seniors for sugges- tions for the improving of school life. A column of sports predictions was 21156 lldded- Miss Teresa Compitello EDITORS AND BUSINESS MANAGER Advim. Bove, Sisson, Campbell. The importance of the paper is due to the fact that it brings the school news to the community through school channels. Miss Compitello does out- standing work in guiding the' staff to produce a good paper. The Microphone, edited by Kevin Bove and Wfilliam Sisson, was repre- sented at the Empire State School Press Association Conference in Syracuse. A luncheon in May at which awards were made ended activities for the year. 46
