We commenced our year of whirling activities by electing our class officers. Edgar liacklnnd. president: Marjorie liotz, vice-president: Norma Page, secretary, and Phil Bentley. treasurer. Our next venture as Juniors was the annual Junior Party, which seemed to be quite a success. Everyone thronged into the gym to dance. play games and. naturally-to eat. Clubs and various other organizations began to pick up where they left off, and the Juniors were found bobbing up in almost all of them, including sports. The Juniors help to make up a group of Blynderse muscle-men, and they fight hard for their Alma Mater. Along came that memorable happening-The Scrap Metal Drive, the time when one could see any number of students about the country gathering metal for l'ncle Sam's forces. By a lot of hard work and time the Juniors won by collecting 18,976 pounds of scrap. Almost simultaneously National Education lYeek popped up. Varlton Vlark presided over a committee in an assembly program which discussed the present conditions regarding the war. Speaking of war, that reminds the Juniors that in the near future some of our boys will be joining the American armed forces. .Ks spring loomed close we presented Little XYOIIIQILN our Junior Playfffand successfully too. due principally to the superior work of Mary Keach as Jo and a fine supporting cast directed by Miss George.
