demand that the one-year college be extended to a two-year Junior College. In response to this urgent request, the Board of Education, therefore, early in the spring of 1928 invited Mr. George C. Wells, State High School Inspector, Dean Roy L. Gittinger, University of Oklahoma, and Dr. Paul B. Upon the recommendation at the above three school men, the State Board of Education authorized the establishment of the Muskogee Junior College, making it accredited with all other state institutions. Since then it has been regularly inspected and approved by the accrediting com- mittee consisting of J. .Andrew Holly, chairman ot the Committee of Higher Institutions of Learning, Roy L.
