The Peace Makers Above: Mrs. Shaw: Below: Mrs. Cooper: Opposite: Terri Clock, Mr. Clockg Below right: Mr. Mars, Mrs. Wilson, Mrs. Gardner. If you belong to the Student-Faculty Administrative Cotmcil, you might recognize this man. He is Mr. Clock, a member of the Board of Education. Meetings are held twice a month and at each meeting a different member of the board is present to voice his opinions and lend a helping hand. Several years ago, MHS had racial trouble. Concerned parents decided to come in and keep students from lingering in the halls. This was the start of what is now known as the Para-professionals. At the time they were volunteers, but now are a part of the paid staff here at MHS. Their job is to keep the noise and skipping down. When students get sick or hLu't in school it is their job to take them home or to the hospital if they do not have a ride.

' 1 ' v A Have you ever had a problem, either at home or at school, and you didn't know who to tum to? Well, that's what the counselors are for. They are around to help students with their problems. They also help students plan their schedules according to what they plan to do. For college boimd students, the coun- selors are trying to help set up programs early so that the students will be better prepared for college studies.
