Donald W. Mooney B.S. A graduate of lowa State, Mr. Mooney teaches algebra and general math. He is the father of seven children and enjoys gardening for relaxation. Lindsay Neal B.S. As a biology teacher, Mr. Neal is a firm believer in phys- cal fitness. To keep himself in tip top condition he enjoys bi- cycling, he has pedaled thou- sands of miles across the Unit- ed States. Peter A. Oakes A.B. ' Another new member to the Muskegon faculty this year is Mr. Oakes. As a part of the team -teaching program, he teaches algebra and geometry. David E. Olsen B.S., M.A. One of the busiest faculty members at M.H.S. is Mr. Ol- sen. Not only is he the co-ordi- nator of the mathematics de- partment, but he also teaches trigonometry, college algebra, advanced algebra, and solid geometry. ln addition, he is the tennis coach. Mary Rodewald B.A. To Miss Rodewald, who is new to MHS this year, biology is the most fascinating subject there is. A recent graduate of Albion College, she thinks Mus- kegon is a little large but nevertheless tops . Oren W. Rodewald , B.S., M.A. Mr. Rodewald is a member of Muskegon's science and mathematics department. His specialties are physics and ad- vanced algebra.

The Music Department is composed of two divi- sions: choral and instru- mental music. ln both, the objectives are ta de- velop sensitive musicians and singers and to de- velop appreciation for, and an understanding af good music. The goals ofthe library are: to provide a back- ground of information which will enable pupils ta make intelligent judg- ments in their daily life and to provide materials an opposing sides of con- troversial issues so that young citizens may de- velop under guidance the practice of critical read- ing and thinking. Fred Rays B.M., M.M. Mr. Rays chase to teach in the field of music because of his admiration for the late Wil- liam Stewart, M.H.S.'s beloved band and orchestra director. Although Mr. Rays feels that most students have an abun- dance af spirit, he admits that there are a few who have none. Mabeth Saure . A.B., M.M. Miss Saure is the able leader of all our choir groups. She is a graduate of Northwestern University. Margaret Elliott A.B., M.S. Besides being our busy li- brarian, Mrs. Elliott is the Li- brary Club advisor and is in charge of TAB readers. Mrs. Elliott has a number of hobbies, among which are an interest in Indian falklare and writing juvenile stories. Marylee Steinmetz A.B. - Mrs. Marylee Steinmetz is the assistant librarian at M.H. S. For relaxation, Mrs. Stein- metz loves to read - - - natural- ly!
