10 .mm axdylf J, Qhzzzmed Through each successive year at Muskegon High School the class of 1960 has discovered that school life can hold many memories. As Sophomores they were amazed by the new atmosphere that sur- rounded them. As Iuniors they began to know and understand what went on about them, and then, as Seniors they were classified as responsible people. Many important jobs were placed on their shoulders for execution. The class of 1960 has indeed made itself known. It was very ably served by Tom Hammond as presi- dent, Iim Alberts as vice-president, Merri Lee Knapp as secretary, Hollee Beadle as treasurer, Barb Hene- veld as parliamentarian, Ian Dephouse as reporter, Dan Poort as historian, and Iudy Decker and Iim Iesperson as sergeant-at-arms. The Seniors could certainly not have attained the goals for which they were striving without the aid of their sponsors. Assisting Mr. Carlson, head sponsor, were Mrs. Mayrose, Mr. Weaver, and Mr. Ritcheske. At our homecoming Rita Sayles was chosen to reign as queen with Terry Locke as king. The senior attendants were Merri Lee Knapp, Roxie Pierce, Ioe Bhodea, and lim Erickson. This year the football team was co-captained by Terry Locke and Ioe Rhodea. Later in the year Dave Nelson acted as co-captain of our basketball team. Several seniors have won hon- ors in scholastic achievements. Other students took their places in sports, debate, vo'cal and instrumental music, and all the many other activities of the year. From left to right. SITTING: Hollee Beadle, Iudy Decker.
