K K The cooks are: Mrs. Collett, Mrs. Kuiper, Mrs. Holcomb, Mrs. Niva, Mrs. Denhof, and Mrs. Hamstra. Cooks, Cuslodioms Provide Food, Cleanliness Have you ever noticed how the windows shine? Or have you ever been in study hall 120 just before lunch time and noticed the tantalizing aroma from the kitchen? It is our staff of cooks and janitors who are responsible for these things and many others besides. Our custodians keep our school ship-shape by mopping up after We track snow in, or by cleaning our class- rooms. Thanks to them, we have a school and campus in which we can take pride. The custodians and maids are: Mr. Zuidema, Mrs. Smifh, Mrs. Pulsifer, Mr. West, Mrs. Miller, Mrs. Krues, Mr. Schuitema, Mrs. Lowden, Mr. Dunlap, Mr. Houseman, Mr. Kolkema, Mr. Hughey, Mr. Doorn, and Mr. Van Riper. ,ff M.. ,

MR. WILLIAM C. DENTON B.A., M.A. Mr. Denton enjoys hunting, fishing, and photography. He was born in Wheeling, West Virginia. His be- lief is that smaller classes would be an asset to Muskegon High School. Mr. Denton's job is that of solving the many problems of our M.H.S. students. M RS. THORA LU N DELL B.A., M.A. Do you like music, and collecting recipes and cookbooks? These are the interests of Mrs. Lundell who is a counsellor at M.H.S. She was born in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. She hopes that some day all people will learn to assume their assigned responsibilities. MISS HARRIET REID Miss Reid is counsellor at M.H.S. Besides assisting students with their problems, she gives freely of her time and energies to anyone who needs help. She feels that M.H.S. could become a better place if everyone cooperated IOOM-,. What college should I attend to get the best education in my chosen field? What jobs are available after graduation? What is high school pre- paring me for? Are you confused by any of these questions? The counselors will help you find the answers and give other pertinent advice on your school program. Not only will you get this type of information, but you will also receive help on many personal problems which indirectly affect your school career. MRS. SARAH A. COUTCHIE A.B., M.A. An English teacher at M.H.S., Mrs. Coutchie is the advisor of Car- menta Literary Club. Her other interests include gardening and golfing. MRS. IOAN GAINEY B.A. Mrs. Gainey is a member of the newly-formed Faculty Wives Club and a Y-Teen sponsor. She hails from Terre Haute, Indiana, and has done traveling in the United States. To have an activity period and a longer lunch hour is her hope. MR. WILLIAM I. HARRISON A.B. A teacher of English, journalism and photography at M.H,S. is Mr. Harrison. To have a campus feeling and conduct to go along with the small college appearance of Mus- kegon High School is his wish. He enioys photography, writing, and spectator sports. MRS. MARCELLA O'CONNOR A.B. The native town of Mrs. 0'Connor is right here in Muskegon, Mich- igan. Besides teaching llth grade English, she is the advisor to the National Honor Society.
