I could have danced all night, but school dances must end. Everybody had a good time at the dance after the Terry succeeded as usual in bringing in the winning touch- Homecoming game. The band was a change from the fast Big with Tidings catching record hops, and it seemed a welcome break. When you see those teams in red and white, cheer, cheer. That's just what all Muskegon students and alumni did during this half-time band show at Hackley Stadium. When Dad's Night was observed, special tribute was given to Robert Zuppke and Earl lensen, former M.H.S. gridiron stars.

A new custom has been established between Muskegon and Muskegon Heights. After each football game the winner shall receive the symbols of each school, the peace pipe for Muskegon and a toy tiger for Heights. Here is Tim Lutrey presenting the symbols to Muskegon for our victory over Heightsg ours to keep until we are defeated by them. Business Before Pleosure Lannie Beck patiently waits for Craig Rose to enter the voters' booth during student voting at Muskegon High. Besides testing the voting machines, M.H.S. students gained practical ex- perience during this pre-election contest. Congratulations were given by Mr. lhrman to Bob Pendleton and Ron Siiter for their skill in Latin. Their aptness was proven by their placing first class in a nation wide standardized test. This is a yearly feat of the Latin classes. Many people nowadays are criticizing the American teenagers. People consider today's teenagers as being a spoiled generation, an age at which everything comes easy to them: money, use of the car and all other luxuries. Few of these people consider another aspect of a teen- ageris existence - education. At a time when many consider the standards of our country to be swiftly dropping, the standard of education is ever rising. Future generations will need a well developed brain to surpass all the advances of our nation. At Muskegon we have a wonder- ful faculty of highly trained educators working to prepare us for our roles in the future. Here we give to you evidence of their work, awards and scholarships for those who work, the students of M.H.S.
