I my f' A famlhar scene In the study hall before classes begun Some get the latest gossip whsle others put the frnlshmg touches to thelr home work andfor breakfast with Lunch flnally l m starved meet the ears of Socrates when the bell for lunch rmgs There IS a sudden scurry toward the vendlng machines located on the flrst floor Mulk frult IUICE, and candy are exchanged for nlckles and dlmes rollmg unto the machines When everything dues down, the whole performance IS repeated with all Its ac companylng sounds and smells Candy wrappers are ripped off trays clash agamst the serving counter, and even the cash register rmgs up the totals Fresh apples crunch open and steamlng foods emlt wonderful smells Socks dander IS really roused when thus same performance IS repeated the third time Why Isnt once enough? The corridors crowded with busy students hurrying up and down stairs to classes 646041 caamidllc He observes the lockers that burst to overflowing with everything imaginable He notices students exchanging gossip in groups of twos or threes lounging over the waste baskets Others are scurrying to their classes with arms laden with books Some saunter casually holding hands, oblivious of others He hears the shrill voices and giggles of girls and the throaty laughter of boys Pandemonium reigns for a brief ten minutes Then all is quiet How can so much fit into such a small place is the question foremost in Clark Gable's mind at this moment.
