The Home of the Muskies ls Beautiful Many moons ago a tribe of Indians known as the Muskies dwelt on the banks of a marshy lake. The chief of this tribe, Chief Muskie, was one of the wisest in the whole Indian nation and by far one of the most progressive. Chief Muskie called together a council and met with them to discuss new ways of getting knowledge. It was decided by these wise men to build a school.

Dedication ANDREW ANDY ANDERSEN Mr. Andrew Andersen, or Andy as he is affectionately called, leaves M. H. S. after thirty years of service as head custodian. The Staff dedicates this yearbook to him for his many services to our school. Under his supervision, our building has been kept in a most excellent condition and has shown little of the ravages of time. To say that everyone will miss Andy is an understatement. He is the only one who knows where things are stored and who can produce almost anything at a moment's notice like a magician. This is especially true of the stage equipment, but is applicable to any situation. NWC will miss him also because of his pleasant personality and his keen understanding of vouth. Andy said, l have enjoyed my work here because of the fine student body. Wforking with young people has helped me stay young. Mr. Andersen plans a trip next lune to Norway after an absence of fifty years. XVe all join in wishing him Bon Voyage and a Thank You for his fine work at M. H. S.

The first school was a long, low, wooden hut covered with bark where the young learned the common arts of the tribe.
