All our lives we have decisions to make. Avoiding them makes us ineffectualg facing them with directness makes us grow in stature. Our hope for all students at Muskegon High School is that in making their decisions, both major or minor, they may have the intelligence to weigh all pertinent facts realistically, the wisdom to select only the finest and best courses of action, and the courage to hold to decisions which are morally right. Each day each of us is faced with decisions which mold the course our lives will take. Two of the most serious decisions each person must make are his life's work and his life's partner. In this fast moving and changing day, new jobs are developing and others are passing out of existence. Many of you will have to be ready to prepare for three different types of work during your life. Even with all of these changes the great Moment of Decision is to have in mind and heart a statement made by David B. Steinman at an Honors Convocation in Ann Arbor- Man must be awakened to the fact that, as never before, he is his brother's keeper. The human race must be made aware that reckless or unscrupulous conduct now amounts to race-suicide - that man's true progress and security are to be found in the principles of universal kindness and universal good will.
