Facult and Administration And gladly would he learn, and gladly teach. -- Chaucer What quotation is more appropriate for describing our faculty and administration? We students owe a debt of gratitude to these people for their role in the molding of our characters as well as the improve- ment of our minds. These friends we call teachers have re- vealed to us much more than the academic, business, or vocational subiects they teach in their classes. By precept and by exam- ple, as well as by the casual, everyday, friendly discussions after hours or oft the cuff , they have helped us immensely to understand life and our part in society. Good sportsmanship, self-control, patience, determination - in short, all of the several virtues possessed by successful people of the world, have been given to us to de- velop. lf we are not good citizens of a democracy in the years ahead, it will not be because these teachers, and leaders in the field of education, have failed to show us the highway to the goal. Teachers have shared their knowledge with us and given to us out of their experi- ence, in order that we may become good men and women, citizens of an informed nation - for, surely, knowledge rules the world today more than ever before.

Principal Although most of the students in High School probably were unaware of the fact, our principal, Mr. H. A. Kruizenga, was given added responsibili- ties during the 1961-62 school year. The Board of Education asked Mr. Kruizengci at the beginning of the year to assist Superintendent Fred E. Strong at the Central Schools office at least part of the time. Following the retirement of James Verduin, former Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent, the volume of work in the Superintendent's oFfice neces- sitated extra help. Things at High School went along smoothly, as usual, however, and Mr. Leonard Schregardus con- tinued his customary duties at the desk as Assistant Principal. Experienced office secretaries, Mrs. Anna Harvath and Miss Bonnie GriFles, also helped to keep administrative affairs humming, Assistant Principal Assistant Principal Mr. Leonard Schregardus 5 2 g 'ss rn ? 4 . ,e nmwonm 9... 1 K - Q lrsgssafff ff ,itt if . . l it Principal Mr. H.
