She participated in Style Show, Spanish Club and had the honor of being chosen a Junior Arbor girl. She was also on the Acorn and Oaks staff. Kathy's likes are Spanish food and dancing. BRUNO SZPIEG JR. College Bruno's been a member of Future Engineers for three years ff iffef' ,V t wine'-A. it , , ti X and is the President of J.E.T.S. this year. Bruno's hobbies are fishing and swimming. For unusual accomplishments, he built a Quonset hut in three hours! He also works part time at a local drugstore. ff- SHARLENE TAYLOR ', P waitin' .' A few of these are: Student 'R I Council Representative, Band and Orchestra. Pinkie likes swim- ming and Bernie. Her dislike is sloppyness. tv 'ili kiv' -. . if if RUTH THOMA College Ruthie, who was always full of fun, participated in Future Teachers, Spanish Club, Glee Club, Second Choir and was also the Bible Club Secretary. Ruth works at a local grocery store. Class of '59 NANCY THOMAS College Nan, while at Heights was a member of Y-Teens, Latin Club, member of Future Nurses for three years and treasurer this year. Her ambition is to be a nurse. Talking is her hobby and she 'Q likes pizza. DAN TILDEN College BARBARA THORNLEY College Poise and ability made Barb's every activity successful as she was member of A Cappella Choir, Honor Society, Oaklians, 3 star Thespian, All-School Play Choreographer, President of Booster and Sub-Juniors, member of Homecoming Court and Junior Arbor girl. Barb played Roberta in the Senior Play. Dan played in Reserve Football and has hobbies which consist of hunting and fishing. There's never a dull moment when he is around, for Dan has a real crazy sense of humor and a nice per- sonality. His nickname is Tilt. ARTHUR TOWNSELL College Duke, a likable fellow about school, was able to meet every- one with a smile. He was a member of the Band for four years and also played in a rock and roll band for three years. LaWANA TUDOR Commercial High spirited LaWana was a great sports fan. During her high school years she participated in A Cappella Choir, Glee Club and Chorus. Besides roller-skating, she enjoys reading, writing letters and people. MARQUITA UECKER College Mafquita whose bubbling personality brou ht her man . ' . . . g Y friends, participated in A Cappella Choir, Booster Club, Latin Club, Y-Teens, Oakliarl Players, Sub-Juniors, All-School Play, the Oaks Staff, and managed our radio program. Besides this, she worked at a local store.

His activities includedg Varsity Debate, Varsity Tennis, Reserve and Varsity Football, Junior Commencement Usher, Student Council for four years, Class President in tenth, eleventh, and twelth grade, President of State Association of Student Councils, and President of Re- gion IXXIII. He was a member of the Glee Club in Junior High. I I gf, Rog does local odd jobs and his hobbies are fishing and -QQ' qw Q W, LYNN STEL df ' College 'V' Lynn, a member of ninth grade Glee Club, gets most of his enjoyment from sports. He likes hunting, fishing and baseball, but .Q 4 5 Ji basketball is his favorite. Perhaps this is why he plays on the 'd Q Church team. Lynn's aversion is English. Q,-.ls iff ' 'I i' MARCEIL STEWART f i f ' f If General ff Short and sweet describes Marceil. She was in the Style ' I. Show for two years and also sang in the Chorus. She was active fx! ' ' in intramural sports. She also has a part-time job after school. I X Graduating Seniors SHARON STONG Commercial Happy-go-lucky describes Sherry. Her many activities in- cluded: Student Council Representative, Orchestra, Bible Club and Intramural Sports. As for likes, Sherry is interested in a cer- tain J.C. fellow. She works part-time in a local drug store. JUNE STOUT College A sweeter, nicer person can't be found than our June Though june was not very active in school, she was employed part-time at a local drug store. Baseball and bowling are her main likes. DONALD STRICKLER College 4'Strick was our active athlete, participating in both Football and Baseball for three years. Hile School, which he attended before transferring to Heights, claimed him as its Best Athlete. Don's activities also included Student Council and Bible Club. SHIRLEY STULP Commercial A wonderful girl with a winning smile and personality to match is Shirley. She was active in Bible Club, in eleventh and twelth grade. Her hobbies are swimming and horseback riding. She also likes Pizza! PENELOPE SUSTERICH Commercial Penny participated in French Club, Booster Club, Girls In- tramural sports, Special Assembly, M.H. winner, and Publicity Chairman for the Christmas Prom. She also was on the Oaks and Acorn staH and Oaks advertising staff. Penny likes Hamburgers , DEANNA SWANSON College Dea belonged to Spanish Club and was Class Secretary in tenth grade. She was President of the Library Club and Y-Teens. Dea was also a Junior Arbor Girl and a member of National Honor Society. I-Ier sparkling personality helped her to become this year's Homecoming Queen.

Cl ' JANICE VITEK 5 9 College National Honor Society, Student Council Representative, Oaks and Acorn staff, Heights Night, Y-Teens, Band, Orchestra, Junior Arbor girl, Junior-Senior Prom committee, Latin Club, and Library Club are Jan's accomplishments. She also works part-time at a local store. ROBERT WAIT College Bob, the Optimist Club's Boy of the Year well earned his title as Student Council President, Region IX-XIII Delegate, Homecoming King, Honor Society Treasurer, and Varsity De- bater. Mayor also played Reserve and Varsity Football and was voted Most All-Around. Likes, Shari. DONNA WAY Commercial Donna's sparkling personality won her many friepds at Heights, High. Her activities included: Student Council Representative, Oaks Staff, Y-Teens, Orchestra, and Future Accountants. Donna D won her silver and gold pin at Junior High. Her dislike, eating. HELEN WELC College Helen participated in Future Nurses, Y-Teens, and Glee Club. Her hobbies included bowling and playing the accordian and she loves dancing. Working part-time at a grocery store occupies her spare time. DONALD WERSCHEM, JR. College Don, full of fun and an all-around fellow was a Student Coun- cil Representative, Junior Commencement Usher, and a mem- ber of Future Engineers. He was on Varsity, Reserve Football and Basketball. Don dislikes 8:00 classes and likes Anne. BARBARA WESTON Commercial Barb, Editor-in-Chief of the Oaks, was a member of Y-Teens, Oaklian Players, Sub-Juniors, Band, Orchestra, Oaks and Acom Stalf, and Booster Club Secretary. She was a member of National Honor Society and a Junior Arbor Girl. Where there are good times to be had, Vee will be found there. Vee was in the Junior Play cast and A Cappella Choir for three years. Vee heads her list of likes with Dave. Her ambition is to General Ken is well liked by all who knows him. His hobbies out- ,f. side of school includes hunting and fishing. Ken was also on the Reserve Football team. JEANNE VAN DYKE , General Sugar, spice, everything nice, describes our pretty Jeanne. Squeak was a Future Nurses, Sub-Juniors and Chorus member. Her hobbies are collecting china cups and stuffed animals. A Jo as she is known to her friends, is well liked for her sparkling personality.
