He was a member of the Glee Club in Junior High. He likes hunting, fishing and baseball, but .Q 4 5 Ji basketball is his favorite. Perhaps this is why he plays on the 'd Q Church team. Lynn's aversion is English. ' ' in intramural sports. She also has a part-time job after school. I X Graduating Seniors SHARON STONG Commercial Happy-go-lucky describes Sherry. Her many activities in- cluded: Student Council Representative, Orchestra, Bible Club and Intramural Sports. As for likes, Sherry is interested in a cer- tain J.C. fellow. She works part-time in a local drug store. JUNE STOUT College A sweeter, nicer person can't be found than our June Though june was not very active in school, she was employed part-time at a local drug store. Baseball and bowling are her main likes. DONALD STRICKLER College 4'Strick was our active athlete, participating in both Football and Baseball for three years. Hile School, which he attended before transferring to Heights, claimed him as its Best Athlete. Don's activities also included Student Council and Bible Club. SHIRLEY STULP Commercial A wonderful girl with a winning smile and personality to match is Shirley. She was active in Bible Club, in eleventh and twelth grade. Her hobbies are swimming and horseback riding. She also likes Pizza! PENELOPE SUSTERICH Commercial Penny participated in French Club, Booster Club, Girls In- tramural sports, Special Assembly, M.H. winner, and Publicity Chairman for the Christmas Prom. She also was on the Oaks and Acorn staH and Oaks advertising staff. Penny likes Hamburgers , DEANNA SWANSON College Dea belonged to Spanish Club and was Class Secretary in tenth grade. She was President of the Library Club and Y-Teens. Dea was also a Junior Arbor Girl and a member of National Honor Society. I-Ier sparkling personality helped her to become this year's Homecoming Queen.

DARLENE SHORT College Darlene, with her million dollar personality, is always there when needed. She was Sergeant-at-Arms of her class, member of A Cappella Choir, Chorus, and a Freshman cheerleader. Dar- ' YA - lene works at a local restaurant. JEAN SIBLEY Commercial X likes include dancing, bowling, and good movies. JOEL SIETSEMA College Joel, commonly known as Zeke, put a lot of time into the All-School plays and the Senior play, was a Hi-Y member, Junior Commencement Usher, and held a part-time job at Plumb's besides. He likes hunting and swimming. ROBERT SIMS College stall Bob's likes are fishing and eating. 7 Cl ass of 5 9 Popular Sharon was a busy girl at Heights High. Her activities included: Y-Teens, Booster Club, Heights Night, four years in Band, Junior-Senior Prom Committee, Junior Arbor girl, Intra- mural Sports, Latin Club, and Honor Society. Sharon loves SHARON SKODACK College .r , .N 49 music. BENNIE SMITH General Bennie's greatest asset is music. Being active in Senior play cast, A Cappella Choir, Heights Night Show, Glee Club, Band and a local choral group, we can surely say that Ben is musically inclined. He likes girls and works in a local cafe. JANET SMITH 9 5 ,. College , A . A Quiet, sincere and poised describes our Jan best, She is always ready with a sincere smile for everyone. Jan works at a -1-, eg. local bakery. JUDITH SMITH Commercial A smile for everyone best describes our Judy, Her activities included, Student Council Representative, Style Show and she was a member of the Mixed Chorus. Her likes include dancing, ' music and boys. Judy's ambition? . . To work in a bank. KAREN SMITH College An extremely talented pianist, Karen participated in every- thing musical, winning the Grand Rapids Symphony Award and the Cecilian Summer Music Scholarship. Other activities in- cluded, Junior Arbor girl, Student Council, National Honor .gat Society, Oaklian Players and National Thespians. JAN SORENSEN Commercial Jan was active in Y-Teens, Sub Juniors, Booster Club, A Cap- pella Choir, All School Plays, Glee Club, and the Style Show. For a hobby, Jan plays the accordian. When asked her likes, she replied: Gary, of Course. in Jeanie with the light-brown hair and a personality to go with it, is one of our Future Teachers. She participated in Stu dent Council, Y-Teens, and Heights Style Show. Her favorite Full of fun and all-around, best describes Bob, He par ticipated in Reserve Football and Basketball. She participated in Style Show, Spanish Club and had the honor of being chosen a Junior Arbor girl. She was also on the Acorn and Oaks staff. Kathy's likes are Spanish food and dancing. Ruth works at a local grocery store. Class of '59 NANCY THOMAS College Nan, while at Heights was a member of Y-Teens, Latin Club, member of Future Nurses for three years and treasurer this year. Her ambition is to be a nurse. Talking is her hobby and she 'Q likes pizza. DAN TILDEN College BARBARA THORNLEY College Poise and ability made Barb's every activity successful as she was member of A Cappella Choir, Honor Society, Oaklians, 3 star Thespian, All-School Play Choreographer, President of Booster and Sub-Juniors, member of Homecoming Court and Junior Arbor girl. Barb played Roberta in the Senior Play. Dan played in Reserve Football and has hobbies which consist of hunting and fishing. There's never a dull moment when he is around, for Dan has a real crazy sense of humor and a nice per- sonality. His nickname is Tilt. ARTHUR TOWNSELL College Duke, a likable fellow about school, was able to meet every- one with a smile. He was a member of the Band for four years and also played in a rock and roll band for three years. LaWANA TUDOR Commercial High spirited LaWana was a great sports fan. During her high school years she participated in A Cappella Choir, Glee Club and Chorus. Besides roller-skating, she enjoys reading, writing letters and people. MARQUITA UECKER College Mafquita whose bubbling personality brou ht her man .
