DARLENE WHEATER General Always laughing, that's Dar. Her activities include, Y-Teens Glee Club, Choir, and Intramural Sports. She also participated in the style show in her Sophomore year. Collecting story book dolls has been a favorite hobby of Dar's for years. ROBERT WHELPLEY General I never let school work interfere with outside activities, is Bob's motto. Bob played Football and Baseball while at Heights. He participated in jets Club. He likes sports of all kinds with hunting and swimming as the tops. MICHAEL WHITTAKER College Popular Mike was Student Council Treasurer and assistant 11 Acorn Editor. His activities also included Hi-Y, Oaks Staff, and Junior-Senior Prom Committee. Moose played Reserve and Varsity Football and also on the Track Team. Mike was voted Class Flirt. His hobbies are Fincing and hunting. LINDA WHITTUM General Ginger as she is called by her friends was extremely active in school. Her activities included, A Cappella Choir, Band, Glee Club, Second Choir, Style Show, Junior Play Cast, Library Club, and a Library Club Officer. Likes, pen pals. Yr- If Graduating Seniors MONDA WICKERINK , jg, xx General 'X .x Monda participated in the annual spring Style Show in her Sophomore, Junior and Senior years. She likes to spend her free I time swimming or dancing. Her very special like is Jerry. Her 9' dislike is school work. Her activities includedg Student Council Representative, Intramural L i Sports, Senior editor of Oaks and was on the Acorn staH. Kathy gg MA., was also a Junior Arbor girl. Her special interest . . . Ron. A DONALD WOOD College i f Due to his high scholastic average, Don was a Junior Com- f mencement Usher. His hobby is sports and he took part in our Track Team. Baseball, Hi-Y and Spanish Club were also among i I n his activities. Don won a Spanish award for excellence. ki-e SANDRA WORKMAN College Bright-n-sunny fits Sandy to a T. This active senior was in Oaklian Players, Y-Teens, Booster Club, A Cappella Choir and Latin Club to mention a few. She is also Treasurer of Sub- Juniors. li i' is EUGENE YOUNG College Gene is quite the guy. Gene's many activities areg Student . Dislikes, early morning school hours! Ted holds down a part-time job at a local drug store.

VEE VAN BROCKLIN General become a hair stylist. KENNETH' VANDER WAL like, of course, Ron, a boy from a local college. JOSEPHINE VASQUEZ College Council Representative. Her hobbies and Jim. Cl ' JANICE VITEK 5 9 College National Honor Society, Student Council Representative, Oaks and Acorn staff, Heights Night, Y-Teens, Band, Orchestra, Junior Arbor girl, Junior-Senior Prom committee, Latin Club, and Library Club are Jan's accomplishments. She also works part-time at a local store. ROBERT WAIT College Bob, the Optimist Club's Boy of the Year well earned his title as Student Council President, Region IX-XIII Delegate, Homecoming King, Honor Society Treasurer, and Varsity De- bater. Mayor also played Reserve and Varsity Football and was voted Most All-Around. Likes, Shari. DONNA WAY Commercial Donna's sparkling personality won her many friepds at Heights, High. Her activities included: Student Council Representative, Oaks Staff, Y-Teens, Orchestra, and Future Accountants. Donna D won her silver and gold pin at Junior High. Her dislike, eating. HELEN WELC College Helen participated in Future Nurses, Y-Teens, and Glee Club. Her hobbies included bowling and playing the accordian and she loves dancing. Working part-time at a grocery store occupies her spare time. DONALD WERSCHEM, JR. College Don, full of fun and an all-around fellow was a Student Coun- cil Representative, Junior Commencement Usher, and a mem- ber of Future Engineers. He was on Varsity, Reserve Football and Basketball. Don dislikes 8:00 classes and likes Anne. BARBARA WESTON Commercial Barb, Editor-in-Chief of the Oaks, was a member of Y-Teens, Oaklian Players, Sub-Juniors, Band, Orchestra, Oaks and Acom Stalf, and Booster Club Secretary. She was a member of National Honor Society and a Junior Arbor Girl. Where there are good times to be had, Vee will be found there. Vee was in the Junior Play cast and A Cappella Choir for three years. Vee heads her list of likes with Dave. Her ambition is to General Ken is well liked by all who knows him. His hobbies out- ,f. side of school includes hunting and fishing. Ken was also on the Reserve Football team. JEANNE VAN DYKE , General Sugar, spice, everything nice, describes our pretty Jeanne. Squeak was a Future Nurses, Sub-Juniors and Chorus member. Her hobbies are collecting china cups and stuffed animals. A Jo as she is known to her friends, is well liked for her sparkling personality. Jo's activities are Latin Club, Girls Intra- mural Sports, Sub-Juniors, Acorn Staff, Oaks staff and Student are swimming, dancing , W 'f f ' U4 - . R .

Commercial 47 ' Class ROBERT BANKS General Bob has many friends at Heights High. Although he didn't participate in many extra-curricular activities, he has held a job at a local grocery store. Bob also has a sharp yellow convertible. BARBARA DAVIS Commercial A very friendly person and easy to get along with is Barb. She transferred from Hyde Park School in her Senior year and made many friends here. Barb's hobbies are, Jazz and Boys. She dislikes people who gossip. GERALD ESCH General jerry having transferred to Heights just a year ago, has made many friends. A wonderful person, who is full of fun, best describes jerry. His hobbies are hunting and fishing. History is his dislike. MARY HUGHES General Mary was active in the ninth grade serving as class Vice- President. She was one of Heights High quietest students. She had many friends here at Heights and she will always be remem- bered for ber quiet manner. SANDRA LARSEN Commercial Red is what most of her friends call her. She was active in Girl's Intramural Sports, Second Choir and took part in a Style Show in ninth grade. Sandra likes boys and pop songs. DAVID PAGE General One of the bigger members of the Senior Class and known by his classmates as Tiny is Dave. He participated in both Varsity and Reserve Football. He likes to hunt and keeps busy working around with cars. RICHARD PAGE General Richard is known to his many friends as Little Page. Al- though not very active in school, Dick had many interests outside of school. His hobbies are: water-skiing and the radio. And his like, of course, girls! WILLIAM PORTEN GA General If silence were golden, Bill would be able to retire young. Porky, as he was known to his many friends, is a typical teen- ager who counts among his likes girls, and working on cars. MARILYN ZWART Marilyn's shining personality gained her many friends. Her activities included, Y-Teens, Orchestra, Glee Club, Style Show, and Student Council Representative. Her hobbies are ice-skating .5 and dancing. Likes, a certain guy. Marilyn works part-time at a local dime store. MARLENE ZWART General Marlene was active in Y-Teens, Student Council, Orchestra, and Glee Club. She is on the school bowling league and is a member of Sub-Juniors. Marlene works at a local store. of '59 ARTHUR RAWLS General Art who always had a smile for everyone, took an active in- terest in sports, and was a member of the Reserve Football team in his sophomore year. Fat, also was a member of the Art Club in his Senior year at Heights High. OLJIE SPIERS Commercial Oljie has a nice personality that won her many friends at Heights. Her many activities included A Capella Choir, Christ- mas Prom Committee, Special Assembly, Second Choir, M.H. winner and Booster Club. She enjoys all kinds of music. DAVID VAN DYKE General Dave was very active while at Heights High. He was in the Senior Play cast in eleventh and twelfth grade, A Cappella Choir for two years and Track. Dave's hobby is roller skating and his special like is girls! SANDY WAGNER General A very nice and sweet girl best describes Sandy. Although she didn't participate too much in school activities, she does have particular likes outside of school. Those include, roller skating, swimming and reading.
