ST Season in Review BIG RAPIDS-The Tigers started out the season in great style, trouncing Big Rapids 48 to O. lack Weisen- burger, backed up by a charging line, led the scoring with four touch- downs. SAGINAW - The next team to fall to the dynamic Tigers was Saginaw. The Valley eleven succumbed by a score of 20 to O. lt was a revenge game played on Phillips field. HOLLAND-ln their first away-from- home game the Tigers easily out- classed the Dutchmen 26 to 6. Big Pete Dendrinos went to town that day-with a little help of course from 10 other guys FOBDSON-A tricky Fordson eleven came to Phillips field and defeated the Tigers for the first time 14 to 13. Fordson later Went on to an unde- feated season. Iust a hair's breadth of luck would have won the game for the Tigers. Of all points scored against Pordson all season, the Tigers made half. lt wasn't defeat. We just lost 14 to 13. AR AND C0-STA KALAMAZOO-The Kalamazoo Central Maroons brought a fine team here and went home victorious, 19 to 7. It was the last time our captain played to any extent until the Mus- kegon game, for lack was hurt early in the game. GRAND HAVEN-The Buccaneers, keyed to a fever pitch, began the game at Grand Haven with a high- powered attack that netted them a lead of 21 to U. They managed to outlast the famous Tiger last-half drive, and won 21 to 13. BENTON HARBOR-When Tiger meets Tiger, the fur is sure to fly. lt did, but a big, fast B. H. line and McPike and Clupper, speedy backs, spelled defeat to an injury-riddled Heights eleven. The score: 28-U. LUDINGTON-ln a warm-up on a cold, rain-soaked gridiron, the Tigers ran roughshod over a bedraggled Ludington Oriole eleven to the tune of 25 to O. A handful of fans re- mained in the stands at the final whistle. lt Was the wettest night in local football history. MUSKEGON-Score 6 to O. Guess who. Nuff sed. Left to right, standing: Head Coach O.
