amp.. The responsibility of our QE550,000 school, its 42 teachers and 923 students rests upon the shoulders of Fred G. Messenger. our princi- pal. At present time, he is a member of the Executive Board of the lowa State Education Association. For diversion, during the spring. summer, and fall, this gentleman can be seen perfecting his golf-swing on the local fair- ways. He derives great satisfaction from his game of golf and who wouldn't if they could keep in the 30's while chasing the small, white ball. Mr. Arthur A. lohnson, who was selected by the lVluscatine Board of Education. estab- lishes and coordinates policy and procedure for our high school. junior high school and the seven elementary schools. The total person- nel required to operate this educational system numbers approximately 175, which includes all the principals. teachers, and custodians. You can see the reason we are one of the larg- est businesses when you consider the great number of individuals who attend school each scheduled day. dgnwzdnff 'n At last, we have a picture of our school board when every member was present. The members attending this regular meeting, from left to right are Omer Iones. Robert Hahn, L. D. Krueger. Treasurer-George lacobs, President-Bud Worst, A. C. Altenbernd. R. E. Dunker. and Mrs. Van Snyder. Mr. Iohnson. the individ- ual with glasses in his hand, is an ex-officio member of the board.
