I ' ' I - 5 , I Beginning in the fall, under the direction of David Rose, Free LJ offered a variety of classes and was determined a success vvith approxi- mately 200 people attending classes. The class about UFO's drew the larg- est attendance. Free U provides non- credit, no-cost classes of special interest to students. The type of classes offered are of particular inter- est for leisure time activities or for hobby interest. Other classes, such as Resume Writing Workshop or Bike Repair and Buying, have a val- uable consumer interest for both the college and local communities. The classes are held for three or four weeks meeting once a week. There is no pressure to attend classes but the classes are usually quite enjoyable and informative. Teachers for the classes include faculty mem- bers, local citizens, and students. This spring, Brad Lutz was named chairman of the program and was successful in organizing 26 classes beginning in mid-February. Classes for the spring ranged from The Art of Massage to Sailing and Sky- diving. Student Life 25
