gridmen clinch second in conference nielsen's going places Heading for long yardage Jim Nielsen skirts his right end instead of his usual bull like rushes at the opposition s line Murrays last game with Mechanic Arts was a struggle for a top conference spot. Murray again came out the winner with a score ot 7-O. Although the ligures were close, the Pilots out gained the Trainers 223 to 84 yards. Captain Jim Nielsen led the team with an average of 4,5 yards per carry, and Jerry Groebner kicked his eighth extra point of the year, The Pilots ended their season with a 5-lvl record, The championship was now between Murray and Johnson. Murray played a waiting game as Johnson tackled Central in what proved to be the championship contest. Johnson came out victorious and therefore won the championship with a 6-l record.
