The Class of '37 Goes Swinging Along In 1932 we the Senior Class entered High School, to Learn Our ABC'S under 'the direction of our Maestro John Sabine. We swung high in the Ole Left Hander's Band , and orchestra, in football and basketball, and many other activities. We chose as our swing cabinet: John Reeder, Leaderg Dorothy Wright, Assistant Leaderg Paul Weber, Booking Agentg and Gilbert Brannon, Financial Adviser. Our first step- that of amateurs was now completed. The following year we knew There Was Something In The Air so we began to Make Hay While the Sun Shined in our work, later we re- ceived as a reward a Christmas Party, which was quite an enjoyable af- fair. Those who led us were Virginia Rollo, First Leaderg Dolores Wahl, Rosemary Drueke, and Eugenia Etherton, Assistants. The Music Goes 'Round and as Juniors we were still Shooting High with Co-Leaders Saralee Shook and John Reederg Charles Wolff, Assistant Leaderg Mary J. Richardson, Booking Agent, and Robert Hel- wig, Financial Adviser. This year we showed our iirst real professional talent in The Gay Deception , with the Ole Left Hander furnishing the music. In May we climaxed an exciting year with Vince Genovese Doin' the Prom . As Seniors We've Got Cprofessionall Rhythm , because Rhythm Is Our Business . This year we proved our ability in acting, in the two gala productions of Growing Pains , under the direction of Miss' Dixson. We selected .as swing master Vincent Gilloolyg assistant swingster, Rosemary Druekeg and that drummer boy of ours, Billy Hufnagel, as iinancial manager and booking agent. Even if we didn't make history in all our attempts, many of our mem- bers won recognition in various fields. In the Star-Dust when we are Gone , We hope that You Cremainingj will looki through the old song album and find Memories . But now we'll be swingin' along--Be seein' you-Yes, at the Prom --and later at GRADUATION. -Emily Ruth Barringer
