German, and Spanish the spoken word more effectively. The laboratory makes the use of audio-lingual materials possible in lan- guage courses. Latin is offered for four years and affords students an opportunity to learn about this ancient language and the Mediterranean civiliza- tions from which our own culture has originated. The four language organizations introduce pupils to the customs of the country whose language is being studied. 25
