ENGLISH The dramatic approach to English litera- ture it here repretented by one of Mr. Roy Wd ie’s tenior classes. Gene Carroll's group gives a glimpse of eighteenth-cen- tury writers assembled at Will’s Coffee- house in London. In such self-directed, self-appraised groups students learn to combine originality and research. After studying the CANTERBURY TALES, students of Miss Anne Savage brought the famous Pilgrims to life by dressing dolls in fourteenth-century costumes. Chaucer's vivid descriptions and the students' care- ful workmanship made it easy for Carolyn Turner to recognise such characters as the demure Prioress and the anything-but- demure Wyf of Bath.
