Bulletin boards at Murphy serve as an aid and an inducement to learning. Mrs. Echols. Miss Gatlin, and Miss Smith are an alert and resourceful trio of librarians. With pictures and book jackets they publicize information about timely sub- jects that range in significance from Ground- hog Day to the United Nations General As- sembly. Latin students in room 169 find that Miss Gay's bulletin board provides a vital link between the so-called dead language and modern culture. Elizabeth Woodward of the VIRGIL class points to a bulletin board filled with pictures, cartoons, advertisements, and other clippings that were inspired by Latin language and civilization. Row 1: E. I'AMILY Life is a timely study of the problems and obligations of modem family living. The classes meet, ap- propriately, in the model apartment.
