Barton Academy. under the enthusiastic leadership of Mr. W. C. Stapleton, is the home of 540 Murphy fresh- men. Classroom and other activities closely parallel those at Murphy. The freshmen at Barton have their own band and glee club, a column in MURPHY HI TIMES, and a football team that won the City Championship in the Midget group. Their greatest pride is their library, recently enlarged and redecorated, which can accom- modate from fifteen to twenty per cent of the enrollment.
