_v :' ■ • •- : THE K proudly dedicates ■ -« -. The Smoky Mountain The Murphy Bulldogs and Coach Terry Postell Conference Champions 1968 - 69 3 Dedication When this year's seniors cross the bridge for the last time, they will take with them many memories of the year 1968 • 69. It was a very good year, filled with aims and accomplishments. These goals were not reached by simply wishing. It was through hard practice, teamwork, worthy leadership, enthusiasm and perseverance that we made our hopes become realities. Because the 1968 Murphy High School Bulldogs and their coach exemplify these traits, these aims, and these accomplishments, to them we dedicate the 1969 KANUHSHETA. As you turn through these pages, if you find that we have faithfully recorded the history of this year, then we, too, have fulfilled our goal. THE KANUHSHETA Staff ThursDaY  •  .tv. pusum . .y i • . Teach us how to play the game Only in a sporting vein. Endow us with the will to win, With a spirit striving from within. And Coach, teach us as we live and learn To expect only what we rightly earn. Quitting never; though discouraged, be Ever true to self, to team, to Thee. Keep us clean in speech and thought. In doing, and in living as we ought. Of hate and envy keep us free. For more deserving men than we. Prepare us now in friendly strife On the playing field of life. And someday. Master, Coach Supreme, Let us play on your great team.
