This year iMunhall adopted the six-three-diree plan making Woodlawn the junior high school and Munhall the senior high school. As members of one of the largest classes in the history of Munhall, the sophomores, not to be outdone by upperclassmen, attained high scholastic standing and participated in many of the activities. The juniors spent their days preparing to take the responsibilities of being the oldest in the school. The seniors found their last year to be one of excitement and hard work, and it was with a sense of sadness but many fond memories of their high school years that they left Munhall to their successors. 5

faculty Teachers are the most important single factor in a school system. It is they who give life to the printed page, who direct students to seek truth and follow it, to challenge thought and subdue it, and to enter the unknown and conquer it. MunhalTs faculty does all this and more. Through our teachers we have been enriched academically and socially. They not only have guided our thinking but through their patience, understanding, and leadership in extracurricular activities, they also have directed us into positions of leadership and service in our school and community. They have aided many of us in deciding upon our careers. Our teachers have been our instructors, our counselors, our friends. 4

activities The extra-curricular program in Munhall High School was designed to enrich the school life of the students and to develop in them the qualities of leadership, cooperation, initiative, and service. Through membership and active participation in the various clubs and organizations, the individual's social status was enhanced, and he was better prepared, upon graduation, to take his place in adult society and to actively engage in the life of the community.
