© In the popular concept of today, a mobile is a form of modern art of many and varied materials emanating from a central focal point. Any mobile of merit must be well-balanced and free to revolve around the center. Wisely our Annual Staff has chosen the mobile as its theme. Wisely ? Yes, because we have that focal point — an able administration — school board, superintendent, principals, and faculty. Emanating from this vibrant center are students of all abilities, capacities, desires, and ambitions. Here the athlete, there a literary enthusiast; here a linguist, there the scientist of tomorrow; a potential politician or perhaps the artisan, engineer, or businessman — all of these can trace themselves to the very core of the mobile. Yet the main artery in the heart of the mobile is the faculty from whence comes guidance, supervision, and instruction. In an atmosphere of friendship they sponsor the many clubs, coach the athletic teams, chaperon the dances, direct class plays, inspire and instruct each student in his course of study, and set an example of citizenship. That is our mobile. Like any work of art, let us give it a name. This is Our School World — serving a planned purpose. Let our world unfold to you its pages — pages which in future years will recall nostalgic memories.

Oedication © We, the class of 1961, wish to thank Mr. Bendall, our class sponsor, for his helpful guidance throughout the past year. Through his patience and understanding, he has inspired our class to strive for the highest goals possible in this, our senior year. Never too busy to offer advice or lend a helping hand in any class project, he has earned the respect and gratitude of all the students at Munhall. Because of this, we consider him a friend as well as a member of the faculty. So, to Mr. Bendall who has given so much time and thought to us, we dedicate our yearbook of 1961.
