D E D IC ATE D TO PREPAREDNESS We seldom realize that we are ever living for a tomorrow Preparedness does not apply only to war and defense We in America are not aware of all that our schooling has given us The preparedness taught in school has a more significant meaning By investigating further we would see that lack of preparedness is the basis of all world crises Youth of today is being prepared to face the world with all its social and econ omic problems not to face an army rushing forward with evil and destruction We have entered upon one of the most decisive years of in many parts of the world a year which will carry a threat to civilization itself in many lands lt will be a year of decision for the United States and no one can tell all that the year may have in store for our country We know that these are uncertain times anxious times But they are also times of high adventure when history is being made lf we act wisely all time. lt will be a tragic year, a year of suffering and grief
