DIETZ rj' Science MATHEMATICS The natural sciences, as they are taught in the Muncy junior and Senior l'ligh School, include a number of courses which are classified as Science and Mathematics. The mathematics field offers courses in general math, algebra, geometry, and trigonometry. The science field offers courses in general science, biology, chemistry, and physics. The objectives of instructing courses in the natural sciences along with the other courses serving to further the aims of education are many. Today a satisfactory life adjustment requires a mathema- tical and scientihc foundation rather than mere opinion, superstition, or prejudice. This adjust- ment can be approached best by providing a good background of functional information and under- standing through actual inductive investigations by the student.
