...--5 ,...X Z.--i Joy and sadness, delight and disgust, enthusiasm and indifference - these and dozens of other emotions are part of the daily experiences of Cen- tralites. As in the highly emotional musical compo- sition known as the rhapsody, these feelings blend together, giving continuity to the 185 days in a Central year. A rhapsody's changing rhythm also characterizes the variable pace of a high school day which spans the busy class time, the noisy lunch period, and the quiet after-school hours. Like a pretty melody, a happy high school year is a won- derful memory. Realizing this, the staff of the 1960 Magician presents a story in music-our Rhapsody in Purple.
