Language Club As the name implies, Spanish Club includes students who have taken at least one year of Span- ish and who are interested in learning more about the language By listening to speeches from Span- ish persons, the members of the club learn more about the country and the way of life for its people President Arthur Schrieber was followed in rank by Barbara Bookout, vice-president, Susan Towne, secretary, and Gwynne Williams, treasur- er Miss Laura Linden sponsored the group At one event in the year' s activities the group held a Tres MBYIZS party otherwise known as a banana-spllt party During the evening the members feasted on delicate dishes of ice cream surrounded by chocolate, marshmallows, nuts, and many other kinds of decorative, tasty goodies Although the club had no regularly sched- uled meetings, the members were entertalned on several occasions by speeches from v1sitors from Spanish-speaking countries.
