-www-ww Modern living is a course which is especially designed for sophomores. The purpose of the class is to acquaint the stu- dents with Central and its cus- toms. During the course, field trips are taken to such places as the court house. Subiects dis- cussed include etiquette and vo- cational choices. A required course for the jun- iors is American history. Around the globe are Cecil Cheatham, Leonard Hasse, Philip Flick, Ce- lestine Reynolds, Phyllis Chal- fant, and Judy Norton. In order to understand better the condi- tion ot today, people must un- derstand the conditions ofyester- clay. Learning about the problems of our modern times is the main topic of study in the modern problems classes. The seniors elect to take either modern prob- lems, world citizenship, econom- ics, or American neighbors in their last semester. Janet Fin- chum, Ward Crutcher, Mary Car- roll Church, and Norman Ellis are pictured checking the infor- mation on the bulletin board. 'M .fs .i my ..,,. ...wg J
