Why, that If is Miss Van Landingham. We feel very if fortunate in securing this picture, and in future years we may look back and say, I saw a picture of John, when he was . ready to pop the question. Ain't love grand? 2- Miss Thelma Rutledge is here shown with her doll, Corinthia Jean, which has taken international honors in the Olym- pic Doll Shows. Miss Rutledge has given the doll to the museum of fine arts so that the young people may have the ad- vantage of looking at it. 3-Yes, we have heard that bootleg- ging is against the law. but Mr. Walsh says it is all right as long as you are bootlegging water. In a recent interview he stated that he thought that the free run of liquor in the states is a disgrace to the country, but then one of our llathe men caught him in the action of carrying a jug. NVe wonder what there is in it, that's all. 4-Ladies and Gentlemen: You have all heard more or less of Edward Kirk fmore commonly known as Edt, as now he is singing for the Appletown Records. He formerly attended Muncie Iligh school, and here is a picture which was taken of him when he was a' mere lad. He has his mouth open just ready to break out into the tune, She Pulled Out His Eyes and Ate Them for Grapes. 5-Though Muncie High School has made quite a record for herself in foot- ball, there is one athlete who has been left out of it all. That is left tackle La Duron. La Duron played on the all- conference team in Belgium before com- ing here. It is believed that Coach Myr- rick will give La Duron a place on his ,Xteam next year. Bn Swain is here shown posing for the Dart--I Devil camera man at the edge of the top of the Rocky Mountains. 7-Percy Villa Thompson is here dem- onstrating to the camera man how he would get ready to strike his friend, who has just struck him on the wrist. It is said that Percy at one time was consid- ered the sheik of the Star Theater but that, due to his head's swelling, he has lost that honor. S-Central High School has had many famous visitors for the last several years. but one of the most distinguished and perhaps one of the most well known is Mr. McCormick, who traveled all the way from Albany to enter Muncie High. He is here shown in his lumberjack shirt which he wore when he first entered. He says that is the way they look, back in the woods. YVe would like to add, for Mr. McCormick's sake, that he has gotten onto the ways of the world and has dis- carded his garters and wears bow ties. 9-Here is shown the Alfonso crew just before they started out on the mara- thon rowing race. They came in second, having rowcd for seven days and two and a' half hours. They say that they would have come in first, but that Mr. Schultz, who is shown in the rear, had to scratch his foot. and that it was so far away from his hand that when he stooped to scratch, it took him an hour to reach his foot. ,'Stoo bad, Schultzyf' says Carl: I know how 'tiS. 10- Miss Mary Catherine Case is con- sidered the most all-around athlete in Kendallvillef' says the Yorktown City Press.
