This year the Health Department, under the direction of Mr. Ralph Loeffler, offered a wide variety of sports for both girls and boys. Although the selection of a particular course was left to the individual, the ninth grade student was required to take appraisal in order to familiarize himself with the techniques of various sports. Boys were taught skills in swimming, basketball, track, and football, while girls became acquainted with field hockey, modern and co-ed dancing.
