This year the Health Department, under the direction of Mr. Ralph Loeffler, offered a wide variety of sports for both girls and boys. Although the selection of a particular course was left to the individual, the ninth grade student was required to take appraisal in order to familiarize himself with the techniques of various sports. Boys were taught skills in swimming, basketball, track, and football, while girls became acquainted with field hockey, modern and co-ed dancing. At the completion of courses, students were better equipped to choose the health classes best suited to their personal interests. Stanley Mullin Janet Schubert Kay Sisco John Van Vleck 26 Accompanist
