Bo: My College Prep compositions. David Hooten: A sorry prom and a rainy skip day! Alison: My ability to B.S. my way through English compositions. Aaron: My senior picture, blown up to lifesize and hung above the state trophy case in the lobby. Christie: All the pot holes and mud in the parking lot! Senior Class: The ability to help the class of 87 get their act together (Good Luck!!!) David Nix: No matter what, get that diploma and graduate. Senior Class: (To Mrs. Westfall), Our ability to keep my nose out of other people ' s business! Dixie and Colleen: The leftovers from our graduation part y! ik f Colleen and Dixie studying? Alison experiences the agony of defeat. POST GRADUATION PLANS? Your Senior year may be the most fun, but it is also a year filled with decisions, such as whether to take College Prep or take the easy way and take Creative Writing or Sports Lit. You also have the decision of, if and where to go to school? What kind of school to attend? There are many different choices: 4-year colleges and universities, 2-year junior colleges, Vo-tech, or the military. Then there are the decisions of what to take once you get to where you are going. Senior Greg Quigley seems to know what he is going to do with his hfe. He said, I am going to attend college, become rich, and marry a beautiful woman, drive a ' 65 Buick Convertable, and have eight kids. Karen Nungessor said, I am going to school, get a good job and hopefully get married. I want to live in a nice home and have four children. Bo Jones said, Go to K-State and party. Jeff Powell said ;he would, Attend college and play football, and check out the jwomen. Charles Johnson said he will, go to college in California and jcome back to Kansas to open my own karate academy. Rob puts his post-grad plans on ice for the mo- ment. Jill wills to the secretaries My quick reflexes and ability to jump up when some one needs help. 13

SENIORITIS! Senioritis . . . the disease that inflicts Seniors who become anxious to graduate. Early symptons include skipping school, excessive tardies, being ill more than twice a week, and falling asleep in class. The yearbook staff asked some of the Seniors how they knew if they had this distasteful disease. Some of their replies were . . . . . . you start buying food for skip day in September. Greg Quigley . . . you begin counting down the days, the hours, the minutes and the seconds till graduation. Wendy W. and Jill Q. . . . school becomes a blow off and you are ready to graduate two years ago. Steph Smith . . . school seems like a hemmoriod and preparation H becomes an every day thing, anonymous quote. Mr. Brown and Mr. Canfield enjoying the game. Charles Johnson and David Belew discuss a Business Law case. TEACHERS REMEMBERED . This years favorite teacher, chosen by the senior class was Mr. Bio Joe Johnson. Some of the comments made were: He was laidback. He was a really cool guy and was a fun teacher. He was easy to talk to and understood things that we had to go through. Coming in second place was Mr. Bill Brown. He was considered the most understanding teacher. One student commented, He understood me and the way I did things. He seemed to be just like a counselor. He taught you what you want to learn and was easy to get along with. Other teachers anonymously praised were: Ms. Diener . . . She has always been there to talk to and says when she thinks something is wrong. Mr. Tegethoff . . He always cares about his students. He works hard to help them pass his class. He ' s nice and friendly. Mr. Bowen . . . because he is always joking around and he is easy to get along with. Mr. Merritt . . . he is easy to get along with and understand. He really cares about your feelings.
