Webster Resigns Alter Nine Years To the Students and Staff of Mulvane High School: After careful consideration, I decided to resign my position as principal at the end of the 1972-1973 school year. My family and I have enjoyed the school and community ' the past nine years serving as teacher, coach, and principal. I have been blessed, as principal, with an out- standing staff who have worked hard for the improve- ment of this school system. Their cooperation and efforts have helped make Mulvane High one of the finest class 3A schools in Kansas. My thanks also to the students for their cooperation. Ultimately, they are the ones who make a school func- tion efficiently. We have been proud of our students and have always felt Mulvane High School students stand above the surrounding student bodies which has given myself, your teachers, and your parents a sense of pride in you. He sees these young people as involved in many worthwhile activities and, occasionally, in a few negative ones. He thinks today ' s students are generally bigger and more intelligent than those of previous generations. This positive attitude is reflected in his administra- tion of the schools. This year the major problem facing the school is overcrowding at the high school level, and, as usual, a tight budget. Superintendent Parks has been coordinating the educational programs for three years. He and his wife, Civilla, live at 1202 Joan with their son, Kyle, and daughter Janelle. Mr. Parks is in- terested in sports of all kinds. Hunting, tennis, golf and jogging are a few that he participates in with some degree of regularity. DEAN PARKS, SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS.
