CHARLES A. GIBSON Superintendent of Schools BETTY BOREN Secretary and Bookkeeper OUR SUPERINTENDENT PROVIDES LEADERSHIP To the Students of Mulvane High School: I feel quite honored and privileged to be asked to write in this annual. Even though this is my first year as Superin- tendent of Schools you have made me feel as if I had been in the system for many years. To those of you graduating I challenge each of you to make the most of your opportunities. You can become what you want to become. For some this means a lot of hard work and seemingly unrewarding efforts for the time spent study- ing; while for others it is no effort at all. The important thing is to do what you enjoy doing. To close I would like to quote a few lines of a poem by an unknown author. These Are The Things Not what we have --but what we use; Not what we see, but what we choose -- Not what seems fair, but what is true. Not what we dream, but what we do-- Not what we take, but what we give. Not as we pray, but as we live-- These are the things that mar or bless The sum of human happiness. Sincerely, Charles A. Gibson Superintendent of Schools 2 Trudy Gibson, Mr. and Mrs. Gibson, and Kathy Gibson at home . The Pep Club President pesters Mr. Gibson.
