The F, F. A. is an organization for boys in- terested in agriculture. Their motto is, Learn ing to do, doing to learn, learning to live and living to serve. The big events of the year were; the tra- ditional greenhands ' initiation, the Leaders Con ference at Harper, which the officers attended, the Father and Son Supper in the early fall, and the annual Pest Contest which was staged in the late fall. Some of the members attended judging contests here in Mulvane, Manhattan, Arkansas City and Peabody. As a spe- cial service to the school, the F.F. A. purchased a candy machine to be installed in the hall for the use of the students and the faculty. Under the direction of Walter Ford, the Mulvane High School Band completed a successful marching season by attending the Wichita Band Day at the University of Wichita. During football season, they marched at each home game, and a pep band played for the home basketball games. The Band presented a Christmas Concert, a Spring Concert, and took part in the annual music festival.
