The F, F. A. is an organization for boys in- terested in agriculture. Their motto is, Learn ing to do, doing to learn, learning to live and living to serve. The big events of the year were; the tra- ditional greenhands ' initiation, the Leaders Con ference at Harper, which the officers attended, the Father and Son Supper in the early fall, and the annual Pest Contest which was staged in the late fall. Some of the members attended judging contests here in Mulvane, Manhattan, Arkansas City and Peabody. As a spe- cial service to the school, the F.F. A. purchased a candy machine to be installed in the hall for the use of the students and the faculty. Tr» 0 President: Marilyn Bobbitt Vice President: Kirsten Radford Secretary: Joan Church The F.H. A. is a vocational club for girls who are striving to become better homemakers. There are three degrees, the Junior, the Chapter, and the State Homemaker ' s degree. Some of the girls are working towards the Junior and chapter Home- maker ' s degree. Toward New Horizons is the motto of Future Homemakers of America and expresses the purpose of the organization. The colors are red and white. The red rose, symbolic of vibrant, glowing health, a necessary tribute for happiness and efficiency in home and group life, is the flower. For social points the F. H. A. entertained the Derby girls to show what the club was like.
