Mr. Tarr and Mr. Haggarty are the faculty sponsors and the officers are Jerry Webster, president; Larry Carver, vice-president; Jim Faris, treasurer; G. C. Daniels, secretary; and Frank Dorsey, chaplin. The purpose of the Hi-Y is to create, main- tain, and extend throughout the schbol and com- munity better Christian fellowship. The meetings are held the third Wednesday of every month from 7:00 to 9:00. Each meeting is divided into three parts; the first is a general business and spiritual meeting; the second is in- spirational, usually through a speaker; and the third is social or games. TCaxfeXtei. As the years go by we will remember the fun we had in Kayettes. This year we worked toward the 1000 point award. All the girls participated in nnemorizing the pledge and declaration of privileges. Faculty sponsors are Miss Titus and Miss Molzen. Motto: Today For Tomorrow. Pledge: I will, as a member of the Kansas Association for Youth, endeavor to maintain the high ideals of my organization, to. make my personality a positive influence in the life of my school an community, to understand the pre-eminent power of a vital religion and to help pass on to future members and association which will be a source of joy and- satisfaction. There are three degrees, the Junior, the Chapter, and the State Homemaker ' s degree. Some of the girls are working towards the Junior and chapter Home- maker ' s degree. Toward New Horizons is the motto of Future Homemakers of America and expresses the purpose of the organization. The colors are red and white. The red rose, symbolic of vibrant, glowing health, a necessary tribute for happiness and efficiency in home and group life, is the flower. For social points the F. H. A. entertained the Derby girls to show what the club was like.
