One of the high lights of the year was the presentation of the Alma Mater to the school which was written by G. C. Daniels, senior. The lyrics which he composed are: Across the fields of waving grain, There stands our high school called Mulvane. Alma Mater will shine bright, And always be our guiding light. Through the halls our laughter rings , Above the wars what peace it brings. God protect our precious claim, And always watch o ' er dear Mulvane. m

Ic I tOlAt, I Quill type is a service organization composed of fifteen seniors and fifteen juniors. It is a select group, the members being elected when they are juniors. If the member makes ten points in the two years he is in Quill Type, he is awarded a sterling silver pin at the end of his senior year. Points are made by working in the ticket office at the gate, maj ing posters or hand- bills or performing various other duties. This year ' s officers are; Cecil Howard, president; Charlene Lewis, vice-president; LaVonna Pitts, secretary; Marylou Bowlby, treasurer. Compliments of WAYNE R. TCaxfeXtei. As the years go by we will remember the fun we had in Kayettes. This year we worked toward the 1000 point award. All the girls participated in nnemorizing the pledge and declaration of privileges. Faculty sponsors are Miss Titus and Miss Molzen. Motto: Today For Tomorrow. Pledge: I will, as a member of the Kansas Association for Youth, endeavor to maintain the high ideals of my organization, to. make my personality a positive influence in the life of my school an community, to understand the pre-eminent power of a vital religion and to help pass on to future members and association which will be a source of joy and- satisfaction.
