Every evening, rain or shine, these boys could be fou nd running laps around the football field, taking exercises, practicing for events, and improving their techniques. It has often been stated that if a boy is a good track man, he will be good in almost any sport. The Wildcats sent one man to state this year. Bill Dickey placed fourth in the 440. His time, 50. 5, was within a second of the state record, 49. 7. Bill, along with six other lettermen, will return next year. They are Larry Peckham, Jim Reddick, Jerry Webster, Frank Dorsey, Marion Deffenbaugh, and Earl Steinle. ycheciute Derby March 29 Fredonia April 10 Clearwater April 16-17 K. U.
